🤔 How Does This Tool Work?

Our Temperature Converter uses the three standard temperature scale formulas:

Celsius to Fahrenheit: °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32

Celsius to Kelvin: K = °C + 273.15

Fahrenheit to Celsius: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9

Kelvin to Celsius: °C = K − 273.15

All conversions go through Celsius as the intermediate step. So whether you enter Fahrenheit or Kelvin, we first convert to Celsius, then calculate the other two scales. The result shows all three temperature scales simultaneously so you always have the full picture.

❓ FAQ
How do I convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Formula: °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32. Example: 30°C = (30 × 9/5) + 32 = 54 + 32 = 86°F. Or just use our converter for instant results!
How do I convert Fahrenheit to Celsius?
Formula: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. Example: 98.6°F = (98.6 − 32) × 5/9 = 66.6 × 5/9 = 37°C. That is normal human body temperature!
At what temperature are Celsius and Fahrenheit the same?
They are exactly equal at −40 degrees. −40°C = −40°F. This is the only point where both scales give the same number!
What is absolute zero in Celsius?
Absolute zero is −273.15°C = −459.67°F = 0 Kelvin. It is the coldest temperature physically possible in the universe — the point where all atomic motion stops.
Why does the USA use Fahrenheit instead of Celsius?
Historical habit. The USA adopted the Fahrenheit scale during colonial times. When the rest of the world switched to the metric/Celsius system in the 20th century, the high cost of changing everything kept Fahrenheit in daily use in the USA.
